America First Vets Applauds President Trump’s Executive Order Establishing the ‘Make America Healthy Again’ Commission

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 13, 2025

Washington, D.C. – America First Vets proudly supports President Donald J. Trump’s newly established Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission, an initiative to address America’s escalating health crisis by focusing on prevention, transparency, and expanded treatment options.

This bold executive order marks a significant step in ensuring veterans receive the healthcare solutions they deserve. By prioritizing cutting-edge research, nutritional improvements, and flexible treatment options, this initiative aligns with America First Vets' mission to advocate for policies that enhance the well-being of those who served our nation.

Jason Loughran, National Chairman of America First Vets, issued the following statement:

"President Trump’s establishment of the Make America Healthy Again Commission is a game-changer for the veteran community. For far too long, our veterans have suffered from preventable chronic illnesses, mental health challenges, and a VA system that often fails to address the root causes of their conditions. By focusing on gold-standard research, nutritional reform, and holistic treatment options, this initiative provides a long-overdue opportunity to revolutionize veteran healthcare.

Through this executive order, the administration demonstrates a clear commitment to honoring our nation’s heroes by ensuring they have access to the best possible healthcare solutions. America First Vets will seek to work closely with the Commission to advocate for veteran-specific programs, ensuring that those who have sacrificed for our freedoms receive the quality care they have earned. We commend President Trump for his leadership and look forward to seeing the positive impact of this initiative on veterans across the country.”

The MAHA Commission’s emphasis on transparency and open-source data will empower veterans with the knowledge they need to make informed healthcare decisions. Additionally, the Commission’s partnership with farmers and nutrition experts will ensure that veterans have access to healthier, more affordable food options, which are critical for combatting service-related illnesses such as diabetes, PTSD, and traumatic brain injuries.

America First Vets remains dedicated to working alongside the administration, policymakers, and healthcare professionals to ensure this initiative fulfills its promise of restoring health and dignity to America’s veterans.
